Maku products are experiential, organic, and relevant to passionate lifestyle participants and design enthusiasts. We work to live and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Whether that is with our families and friends in the confines of our homes or throughout our global travels experiencing the many cultures of the world.
As "Global Surfers, Travelers, Marketers and Lifestyle enthusiast" Johnny and Mike the founders of Maku Furnishings have experienced some of the most incredible people and parts of the world; in particular that of the Southeastern Pan Asian communities within Indonesia and more specifically the kind and gentle people of Bali.
Through these travels the concept of Maku was born. The availability of plantation grown, reclaimed and sustainable raw materials, ample and quality production resources combined with the distinctly artesian work of the Indonesian people create furnishing unlike anything available in today's marketplace. Resulting in a challenge to the way business is looked at within the "cookie cutter" mass producers that are most prominent in the outdoor and casual living sector.
As part of our commitment to "Global Stewardship" and leaving the world a better place than when we entered it. Maku is a proud member of 1% for the Planet and we gladly donate 1% of sales to help keep the ocean waters blue and the mountain snows white.
