Shipping and Orders
All orders received will be confirmed and shipped within 24-48 hours from our Southern California warehouse based upon product availability. If we are unable to fulfill your order within an acceptable time frame we will notify you upon receipt of your order.
The majority of our products are shipped "flat packed" with minimal assembly required. All shipping will be via Fed Ex or UPS unless otherwise specified and we will do our best efforts to insure your furniture arrives in good condition with out any damage. Should you experience any troubles with shipping please contact us and we will resolve the issue immediately.
"White Glove" delivery and set up is available. Please contact us should you require a special delivery and set up service for your new Maku furniture.
Warranty
Maku furnishings offer a 3-year manufacturer warranty against workmanship in defects and materials on all furniture. Cushions or other accessories, which are color fast or UV resistant, offer a 1-year warranty against fading. If you feel that your maku furniture has been subject to a manufacturing defect please fax 760.494.0336 or e-mail warranty@makufurniture.com with your contact information, proof of purchase, and the problem you are experiencing and we will respond to your issue within 24 hrs.
Returns
Maku furniture will accept returns of purchase directly from our website for any reason up to 30 days after the purchase date. The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging with proof of purchase. If you purchased a product from one of our retail partners please contact them directly.
If your furniture was damaged in shipment, simply call 760.930.0081 between 9am and 5 pm pacific standard time or e-mail us warranty@makufurniture.com and we will gladly refund your complete purchase price less shipping and handling or we will offer to replace the item at no additional charge to you.
Teak Care
Tectona grandis is a deciduous hardwood tree indigenous to the dry, hilly terrains of Indonesia and Southeast Asia and is extremely dense-grained and highly resistant to rot, warping, shrinkage and swelling. Its high natural oil content acts as a natural preservative to the wood so it can be left outdoors for decades
To care for your teak and maintain the finished "honey golden brown" aesthetic we recommend that you treat it with our specially formulated "Teak wax" every 6 months. Simply apply the wax with a rag or towel and let is sit for approximately 2 hours before using the furniture. This will help retain the golden honey brown color of the finished teak. However, you may leave it untreated to achieve a much more mature "patina" or graying of the wood to its natural state. Either way, your Maku furniture is guaranteed to offer years of enjoyment and beauty in any setting.
